Nigerian gay pastor Rev. Jide Macaulay writes about acceptance

Another gay post...lol. You guys like to read and argue about this stuff that's why I keep bringing it. So anyway, Reverend Rowland Jide Macaulay used to run a secret gay church in Ojodu Berger Lagos called House of Rainbow Fellowship. He relocated abroad some years back after a major newspaper did a story on his homosexual church and he started to get threats. He's still running his gay church in the UK and has been speaking out publicly against the recently passed anti-gay law in Nigeria.

Rev. Jide Macaulay recently penned an emotional article about being rejected by his father (pictured above with him) when he came out as a homosexual in 1994 and his acceptance of his lifestyle many years later. See the article after the cut...

Photos: How Ex-Wife Wiped Out Ex-Husband’s New Family

A 33-year-old Ghanaian woman, on Monday 27^th of January, 2014 wiped out her ex-husband’s entire new family. Efua Badu and her ex were once married but latter separated when the two were having problems in their marriage. Their families tried to settle the matter, but her ex-husband insisted it was over. He later got married and impregnated a 25-year old lady who gave birth to a daughter who is now two and half year-old.

Efua who couldn't stand losing her man, the father of her two kids, at around 1.30am in the early hours of Monday set the uncompleted building her ex was living ablaze, killing him, his new wife and their baby while they were all asleep. She later fled from the scene, but when fire fighters got there, they couldn't trace where the fire began and said someone might have set the family ablaze.

After investigation, Efua was traced to her home by the police, where they saw some burns in her right arm and face. She denied ever knowing anything about the fire, but later confessed she was behind it when she was been interrogated. She admitted she did it out of jealous and pleaded to be forgiven.

 The charred bodies of the three have been deposited at the Police Hospital morgue for examination. Sadly, the 25-year old new wife and her daughter only got to the man’s house for the first time on the 26^th of January, 2014, when he went to bring them to start living with him, from where they used to live and died few hours later.

Imo Government Deports 84 Boko Haram Suspects To Katsina

For fears that they might be members of the dreaded Boko Haram, Imo State government, weekend, sent back to Katsina  about 84 persons.

The deportees, mainly youths, had been in Imo State for eight days under-going skill acquisition training when the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state raised an alarm that they might be Boko Haram insurgents.

The young Muslims, who had spent about eight days in the state, were quartered in the premises of Imo Newspapers Limited, on Egbu Road, Owerri, which is now renamed “Imo College of Advanced Professional Studies, ICAPS.”

A security man on guard in the premises, who spoke on strict grounds of anonymity, explained that government had no other option than to send them safely back home.

“The alarm by PDP raised palpable fears that people could descend on the innocent students. Government had to cut short their training and sent them back to their state,” the man said.

Speaking to inquisitive journalists in Owerri, the Director General of ICAPS, Mr. David Day, confirmed that the establishment trained youths on skills and leadership programmes.

“We do not train miscreants, criminals and members of Boko Haram in ICAPS. We had to cut short the training of 84 literate youths from Katsina State, as a result of the alarm, which obviously put their lives in danger,” Mr. Day said.

Kanye West settles man he beat up in Beverly Hills with $250,000

The young man who allegedly hurled racial epithets at Kim earlier this month has agreed to the civil settlement and now feels satisfied enough that he does not want to go forward with a criminal prosecution. Law enforcement sources tell us ... the D.A. has not decided whether to charge Kanye with battery. The reality is ... there's almost no chance of that happening.  First, the D.A. now has an uncooperative victim. Second, the victim's alleged racial epithets will not sit well with the jury. And there are probably lots of Kanye fans in the jury pool. We're told during the settlement negotiations the victim's demand soared to the upper 6 figures, so $250K is just a fraction.We called Kanye's civil lawyer, Shawn Holley for comment ... but we got nothin'.Nevertheless ... we're calling it case closed." Tonto and AY are good friends. She's even done a few skits for AY comedy shows but last night the two friends went for each other, well more like Tonto went for AY. Trouble started after the comedian re-posted a link to a story on his blog which was an earlier post about Tonto's look at the Calabar Carnival in December 2013. After armed men from the State Security Service, SSS, stormed former FCT Minister, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai's home on Friday to invite him to their headquarters but meant his absence, the former Minister has decided to honour their invitation by going to their Headquarters this morning, along with some APC chiefs. Governor Rotimi Amaechi, APC National Secretary, Treasurer, Senator Ngige and Al Mustpha were part of the people with him. But it seems the SSS men are only interested in talking to El-Rufai alone. Femi Kuti loses out again at the Grammys

Femi Kuti has lost out at the Grammy Awards for the fourth time. He was nominated in the ‘World Music' category for his album 'No Place For My Dream' but lost out to French group Gipsy Kings and South African choral group Ladysmith Black Mambazo in a tie.

The winner for the category and some others were announced at a pre-telecast yesterday evening Jan. 26th.

The Afrobeat king also lost out at the Grammys in 2003, 2010 and 2011. Which means nothing really because being nominated is a great achievement! Femi didn't attend the awards.

Nigerians blast Tonto Dikeh after outing with her Maid

Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh had earlier posted a photo in December of the Christmas gift she got from her 'Maid'.

Few days ago Tonto Dike posted another photo of herself and her maid having fun on her instagram page with caption 'Day out with mi maid, fun #poko'.

This obviously did not go down well with a lot of her fans with Tonto been criticized for calling the young lady her 'maid'.

Her fans have condemned her saying they didn't find it amusing that the Nollywood actress described the lady as her 'maid'

'Why her name gotta be maid… I bet she has a name# just saying', a fan wrote.

'Must u use the word 'MAID'???', another said.

'Gash shame on you- you have to know how to treat people-like you said she's your maid so you better learn how to treat her or you might regret one day', another read.r

Trust Tonto Dikeh to always have a reply. She replied by saying

Justice! Police Officer To Die By Hanging 3 Years After Killing 20-Year Old Man

A police officer, Mathew Egheghe, attached to the Bayelsa State Police Command, is to die by hanging for killing a 20-year-old man, Victor Emmanuel three years ago. The Police officer shot Emmanuel at a checkpoint nine times in Yenagoa on October 16, 2011. He was later charged to court after Emmanuel’s mother refused to listen to their pleas and insisted she must get justice over the death of her son.

Referring to the report of the pathologist and the evidence he gave before the court, the judge said that nine bullets had entry and exit points on the body of the deceased. The pathologist certified the cause of death to multiple gunshot injuries, adding that five of the bullets hit the deceased in the head.

The judge however sentenced him to death by hanging after finding him guilty. “I have listened to the pleas of the defence counsel but the accused person deserved a sentence to die by hanging,” he said.

HIV-Positive Student Secretly Videotapes Himself Having Unprotected Sex With 31 People In 4 Months. Via KMOV reports: Prosecutors tell News 4 they now know more than 30 people could have gotten HIV from a former student at Lindenwood University who allegedly knew he had the deadly disease. He is accused of knowingly giving it to others.

In October, Michael Johnson, 22, was charged with exposing intimate partners to HIV. Police later discovered multiple videos of Johnson having unprotected sex.
They believe those partners were unaware Johnson was HIV positive and that they were being videotaped.
The startling details were revealed after hidden camera sex tapes were uncovered, according to prosecutors.
“On that laptop were 32 videos engaged in intimate acts with Mr. Johnson,” said Tim Lohmar, St. Charles County prosecutor.

Lohmar said Johnson can be seen with 31 unidentified people in videos taken over four months. Most of the videos were shot on the campus of Lindenwood University in St. Charles. Johnson has already been charged with five counts of knowingly transmitting the disease.
“It’s safe to safe that numerous of those videos were taken inside his dorm room; we know that because we recognize the furniture,”
Lohmar said most of victims not only likely had no idea they were being videotaped; they were clueless that Johnson had HIV.
That’s why Lohmar wants any potential victims to come forward immediately. It’s a matter not only of their individual safety but public safety as well.

Lindenwood University school officials tell News 4 they will assist law enforcement with identifying victims. They say they had no idea the videos existed until just a few days ago.
“I think it’s really scary, thinking someone like that is on campus, not thinking about others,” said Student Jenny Counts.
Students are shaken up by this latest news, but glad that Johnson is still behind bars for now.
If convicted of knowingly transmitting HIV, he could get up to life in prison.

Man Who Has Been Sentenced To Life Imprisonment Gets Bachelor’s Degree From Prison

A middle aged man, Tuwanse Kabiru serving life sentence in kirikiri, on Saturday graduated with 4,308 students at the 3^rd convocation of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), in Lagos. Kabiru was sentenced to life imprisonment after he was found guilty of murder. The prisoner who came in company of the prison officials was awarded a Bachelors degree (BA) in Human Resource Management.

“I want to thank God for what he is doing in my life. I have always had hope in God and that is what inspired me to enrol. I was actually imprisoned after being found guilty of committing murder and I have served 11 years so far. I am still hopeful that things will turnaround one day for the better having achieved what I have today,” he said.

The Assistant Controller-General Nigeria Prisons, Chuks Afejue, hailed the courage displayed by the graduating inmate, saying he was the first to enrol and kick start academic activities at the prisons study centre.

According to him, this will prove to people that the prison is not just a dumping ground for those who seem not to have any more hope.

“The prison is a place where reforms and rehabilitation take place. Currently, we have a total of 48 inmates who are enrolled in all the four major prisons study centres across the country.

“It is an exciting exercise and we want to seize this opportunity to plead with the Federal government to try and temper justice with mercy, having achieved this feat. He pleaded on behalf of Tuwanse. What do you think?
