Gang Leader Kidnaps 10 Victims To Raise Money For His Father’s Funeral (pic)

 
The menace of kidnapping for ransom in the country took a more frightening twist when 31-year-old Chibuike Okoroafor, brought a new dimension to the crime.

Okoroafor resorted to raise money for the burial of his late father and uncle, by going out with his gang to kidnap 10 victims in Imo and Anambra states.

The first abductees were 30-year-old Chigozie Ekwegbara and his two sisters, who were kidnapped about 8.00pm at Ornage Fastfood, opposite Asutel, Uli, Ihiala Local Government Area, Anambra State.

With arms akimbo, Kanu inspected what could be regarded as a guard of honour mounted by members of his Biafra Secret Service (BSS).

That was on Tuesday, August 17, during Kanu’s inauguration of the BSS at his father’s residence in Isiama Afara in Ibeku clan, Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia State. Kanu’s father, His Highness, Eze Israel Kanu is the traditional ruler of their community.

President Buhari reveals why he invited Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to the UK when he was there

President Buhari today revealed why he invited Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to visit him in London while he was there on medical leave. Osinbajo who was acting president at the time, left Nigeria for the UK on July 11th and was back the next day. According to President Buhari, he invited Osinbajo over to thank him for managing the affairs of the country very well in his absence. President Buhari disclosed this when he met state governors in Aso Rock, Abuja earlier today.

Paul Chukwuma Accused Of Sharing Money To Delegates


Anambra Gubernatorial Election Aspirant, Mr Paul Chukwuma has been on hide zone since a Facebook User shared a photo of him at a local tour ahead of tomorrow's primaries.

According to the photo and Facebook Post, the aspirant shared some money to Akwa South Ward Chairman while he assure delegates that he shall settle them in a good way once they vote him in as the flag bearer for the All Progressive Party in the forthcoming Anambra Gubernatorial Election.

While the delegates repealed that he said he has been endorsed by APC National Party in Abuja after due consultation and payment. 

Nigerian Yahoo Boys, Others Arrested In Ghana, Laptops & Phones Recovered.


Some internet fraudsters popularly known as 'Yahoo' boys have been apprehended by the Madina Divisional Police Command on Friday in Ghana. According to multiple online reports from Ghana, about twenty six of them including Nigerians are suspected to be engaged in cyber crime.

The suspects, whose ages range from 19 to 35 were picked up at a suburb of Ashale Botwe near Madina in the La-Nkwantanag/Madina municipality of Greater Accra.

The Police seized 33 laptops, 26 mobile phones, and a number of pen drives from the suspects.

'I Make N8,000 Daily' - Fake Blind Beggar Apprehended In Lagos Confesses



A fake blind beggar, Abdullahi Abbas, who was apprehended in the Ikorodu area of Lagos state yesterday August 21st, has confessed to making between N5,500 and N8,000 daily just by disguising as a beggar.

37-year-old Abdullahi who is always led by a 12-year-old boy (name withheld), begged for alms every day at the First Gate and Odogunyan area of Ikorodu.

He was apprehended yesterday after an inquisitive resident of the area, Adeoye Baliks, engaged him in a conversation that made her raise an eyebrow. According to Vanguard, she raised an alarm and the man was examined by passersby and it was discovered that he was not blind.

Kidnapper Caught In Lagos,almost Killed By Mob(photos,video)

A suspected kidnapper was caught yesterday in Orile,Lagos.He was almost killed by mob before Hon. Otunba Ishola Ibrahim Obanla intervened.

The suspected kidnapper wore 3 different cloths together with a black Toy Gun, 2 different ID CARDS, a yam & bread in a black sack.

The little boy he was alleged to have kidnapped was rescued from a big sack where he kept him. Residents of the Street named “OSHODI STREET” in Orile, Lagos State were alerted by passers-by when they noticed the suspicious movement of the alleged kidnapper. He was searched and all the above listed items were found in his custody including the kidnapped boy in a big sack.

There was pandemonium in Awka-Etiti area of Anambra state after a businessman simply identified as Ebuka, was humiliated and disgraced after being accused of killing a 9-year old boy who in the region. According to reports, the boy was said to stolen biscuits from the accused shop in the company of his younger brother.

According to a report by Eyewitness, trouble began when his skin and that of his brother began to rot. The parents made some attempts to inquire the root the problem through spiritual means and it was gathered that accused was alleged to have a hand in it.

Nigerian Jumps To Death In India While Evading Arrest In N1.12bn Drug Raid

 
In a bid to avoid getting caught following an Indian Police raid following a tipoff, a Nigerian man identified as Cyprian Ama Ogbonnaya, jumped to his death in an incident that happened in Chattarpur area of south Delhi.

The suspect reportedly jumped from the fourth floor of the building where he resides, in fear of arrest after fingered in heroin and LSD in huge quantity trade. Two women who were also Nigerian nationals, found in the house have been arrested, as Police were said to have discovered 25 kg ‘Ketamine’ drugs valued Rs 20 crore [about N1,131,221,850.00] in the international market in the flat.

Nigerian Caught With Cocaine For The 3rd Time In India - Crime


Hyderabad Police, yesterday arrested a Nigerian identified as Ugochukwu Chukwuebuka alias Godpower caught with Cocaine twice in the past two years.

The suspect who came to India in August 2016 on business visa and arrested alongside with a Hyderabadi last year on charge of possessing narcotic substances, was caught with 20 grams of cocaine this time.

He regained his freedom upon payment of bail but continued to procure and sell narcotic drugs.

“This year, he was caught again in August possessing drugs along with another foreigner and three Hyderabadis,” Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force DCP B. Limba Reddy said.

Anambra Election Will Hold - Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB

 
Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB has withdrawn its threat to stop the conduct of the November 18 governorship election in Anambra State.

The decision was reached after a meeting organised by a non-governmental organisation, the Ala-Igbo International Foundation with the leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu in Owerri, the Imo State capital.

Leader of the foundation, Professor Uzodinma Nwala, says after much deliberations which they say is still ongoing, IPOB has assured the Igbo leaders that it won’t disrupt the November 18 governorship election.

A FORMER President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has said that his decision to suddenly retire 93 officers in a day ensured that the Nigeria Army was rid of officers capable of staging coup d’état, saying the action is responsible for the survival of the Fourth Republic.

Imoh Moshood, police public relations officer (PPRO), says the collapse of Charly Boy at the protest demanding that President Muhammadu Buhari either resume office or resign was “over dramatisation”.

Enugu State Government has offered a scholarship up to first degree level in any Nigerian University to the best graduating Student of Shalom Academy Nsukka in 2017, Miss Cynthia Chinecherem Ali, who scored A1 in all the nine subjects she sat for in the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) exam.

   The state government also resolved to present the student with a certificate of honour in further recognition of her outstanding academic performance.

A Kenyan female politician showed her son that she was not only older than him in age, she is also more experienced and more popular politically. Kipng’etich Kones, the son of a late Cabinet Minister Kipkalya Kones, who ran in the Kenyan parliamentary election lost to his mother, Beatrice Kones.

Beatrice Kone beat her son and seven other contestants when she polled 22,796 votes against her son’s 2,410 votes. Kipng’etich who contested on a Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) ticket got a lot of support from outgoing Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto, while his mother contested on a Jubilee Party ticket.

Lady Transfers Mom’s N275,000 To A Couple After Feast Of Suya Meat -




The couple has been arrested and charged before a Lagos court for the alleged conspiracy and fraud and remanded in prison custody.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the lady met the couple at their church, they became friends and even attended choir practices together as members of the church.

However, she did not know that the couple had another motive for coming closer to her.

It was gathered that on the day the incident happened, the couple visited the victim at her parents’ house and brought the ‘suya’ meat which they gave her to eat.

NDLEA Uncovers Cannabis Deport In Lagos, Arrests Suspect - Crime


The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has uncovered a deport of illicit cannabis sativa at Iyana-Ira, Ketu in Lagos state.

In a sting operation led by the Seme Area Commander in charge of Narcotics, Udotong Noah, a total of 7.5 tons of illicit cannabis sativa was seized.

A statement signed by the Principal staff officer, Public Affairs of the agency, Mr Jonah Achema, in Abuja, confirmed that the operation led to the arrest of one Ms. Timilehin Vincent Iyama.
Achema said the suspect, a JSS3 drop out was known to be dealing in Gaari by neighbours while she also engaged in the clandestine wholesale of cannabis.

President Edgar Lungu has met with former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo and discussed a wide range of issues.
