Chinese Girl Rides Bicycle From Morocco To Lagos, Recounts Ordeals


A Chinese female cyclist, Huang Shuang , who rode from Morocco to Lagos , Nigeria , within five months , says she is convinced that anybody can achieve anything he or she determines to do .

Huang , also known as CICI , told the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos on Monday that she was inspired to embark on “ cycling around the world ’’ after riding around her country .

The cyclist said that her experience in China motivated her to begin global cycling in America where she covered about 5 , 500 km in two months .

Comrade Robert Desmond, who is a quiet chieftain of the APC and known as one of the staunch supporters of the State Leader of the Party, Chief Timipre Sylva and the APC member at the State House of Assembly, Hon. Israel Sunny- Igoli, was abducted after a social event in Nembe area of the State.

Father Of 2 Killed By Fulani Herdsmen In Ekiti State. Graphic Photos - Crime


Suspected herdsmen said to identified as Bororos have allegedly killed a father of two, Olayemi Tunde, 32, in Ipao Ekiti in Ikole Local Government Area of Ekiti State. He was killed on Sunday afternoon while he was returning from his farm.

It was gathered that Olayemi, a commercial motorbike driver who also has a farm in the farm settlement in Ipao Ekiti had gone to his farm to harvest some cassava when he met his death.

Four officers missing as ‘herdsmen’ ambush police team in Benue

he police in Benue are searching for four officers following an attack on a patrol team in Logo Local Government Area on Saturday afternoon, PREMIUM TIMES has learnt.
The men were returning from a confidence-building mission in remote villages when suspected herdsmen opened fire on them in Tse Akpam village, near Azege town, police and residents told PREMIUM TIMES.

EFCC Arrests 15 Yahoo Boys In Lagos; Charms, Cars, SIM Cards, Coffins Recovered


The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal office, has arrested 15 suspected Internet fraudsters for offences bordering on obtaining by false pretence, lottery scam and love scam. The suspects are: Adeyemi Tiwatope, 20; Odeyemi Olawale, 20; Nike Afolabi Olaiya, 20; Awe Abimbola Ireti, 23; Yusuf Aliu Oluwafemi, 20; Osidipe Olatunbosun, 24; Tosin Adesanya, 19 and Adeyinka Bello, 17.

Others are: Aliu Lukman, 18; Damilola Fatona, 20; Shonubi Adetola, 18; Adewale Babatunde, 17; Afolabi Lekan, 19; Awe Ayodele, 24 and Adeyemi Gbadebo, 19.

African Wrestling Championship (AWC) Begins In Port Harcourt -


The city of Port Harcourt is wearing a new look for the African Wrestling Championships that begin on Wednesday even as the President of the United World Wrestling Africa, Fouad Meskout, on Sunday Arrived Port Harcourt, Rivers State for the championships.

Meskout is expected to visit the venue, the Alfred Diete Sports Complex, to assess the level of readiness ahead of the championships.

A member of the Local Organising Committee for the AWC and the President of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, Honour Sirawoo, who arrived Nigeria on same flight (Air Maroc) with the Wrestling boss, expressed delight over the development.

Mother And Child Die After Falling Into A Well In Adamawa (Disturbing Photo)


Tragedy struck in a community in Adamawa state on Thursday February 1st when a woman and her child fell into a well and died. The woman had her baby strapped on her back and was fetching water from the well when she unfortunately slipped and fell into it. Efforts by the villagers to rescue them from the well failed as it was their lifeless body that was dragged out. Sad! See graphic photo below

50 Hospitalised After Eating Cow Bitten By Snake In South Africa - Health


Over 50 people from Mpoza village outside Tsolo were rushed to various hospitals around Mthatha on Thursday, after eating meat from a cow that had reportedly died from a snake bite.

Eastern Cape Department of Health spokesperson Sizwe Kupelo said the patients were initially ferried to Dr Malizo Mpehle Memorial Hospital in Tsolo, where some of them reported that they had eaten the meat from the carcass of an animal that had died after being bitten by a snake.

He said the patients experienced diarrhoea, vomiting, headaches and stomach cramps.

Among those who were ill were 16 children, eight of whom had been transferred to the Nelson Mandela Academic Hospital's paediatric ward, while the others were treated at Mthatha Regional Hospital.

A young girl simply identified as Taofika Onaolapo has been found roaming on the streets of Ondo state. The pregnant girl, who could not give a vivid account of how she got to Igbara-oke in Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State, said both her father and mother were dead.
