Information reaching the newsdesk reveals that IPOB members and Nnamdi Kanu’s cell-mates at Kuje prison, Benjamin Madubogwu and David Nwawuisi and two others, Bright Chimezie and Chidiebere Onwudiwe have been granted bail by the Federal high court in Abuja.
At a court sitting today in Abuja, Justice Binta Nyako granted them bail.

Mr Oshiomhole was returned unopposed after a voice affirmation by party members.
The party said 18 positions ere unopposed, and all were affirmed on Saturday.

it was gathered through a rebuttal sent by Mr. Jaime T. Campas, the Charge D’affaires Of Ecuador To Nigeria; “The Embassy of Ecuador is presently headed by the Charge D’Affaires of Ecuador to Nigeria, Mr. Jaime Campas, as the former Ambassador, His Excellency, Leopoldo Rovayo completed his tour and left Nigeria for his new position as Ambassador in Belarus on the 27th of April, 2018”.

Man Arrested for Giving Out Fake Degree Certificates to Students (Photos)

The Economic And Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Port Harcourt Zonal Office, have arrested a fake school operator allegedly awarding the National Certificate of Education, NCE and Bachelor of Education degree without authorization and accreditation.
The suspect, John Ogbonnaya, was arrested in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

He allegedly registered Havana International School of Arts and Science in 2017 with two other suspects: Monday Nwapi and Mrs Justina Okafor.

In a coordinated covert operation, detectives from the Anti-Cultism Unit and the State Intelligence Bureau, Bayelsa State Police Command, lured a notorious gun runner one Markus Akassa ‘m’ 45years, from Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, under the guise of purchasing arms from him.

The gun runner was arrested with one Ekioyoufegha Agge ‘m’ 34 years from Oboro Town, in Delta State, who usually introduces him to buyers.

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the nomination of Folashodun Adebisi Shonubi



President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the nomination of Folashodun Adebisi Shonubi as the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

The appointment is subject to Senate confirmation.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu disclosed this in a statement on Friday.

Folashodun Shonubi is currently the Managing Director of the Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System Plc (NIBSS) – the financial payments, facilitation and settlement platform.

NIBSS is one of the platforms used by the Federal Government in electronic payments in the Nigerian financial industry.

Before assuming the headship of NIBBS in 2012, Shonubi had garnered decades of executive-level experience in financial service operations, notably as Executive Director at Union Bank of Nigeria Plc, Renaissance Securities Nigeria Limited and Ecobank Nigeria Plc.

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state has declared that going by the way Chief John Odigie-Oyegun has managed the affairs of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the outgoing APC national chairman was apparently overrated by leaders of the party who had allowed him to succeed Chief Bisi Akande as party chairman.
Okorocha who spoke through his Chief Press Secretary, Sam Onwuemeodo maintained that Chief Oyegun has taken the Party several years backward to the extent that today, there is no State chapter of the party where there is no crisis or factions.

 According to reports, the deceased was whisked away from his residential area by the gunmen who arrived in a tricycle popularly called Keke Napep after cornering him at the junction.
He was reportedly shot at close range in the head and also in his abdomen, before he fell and died on the spot.tp
While some say the attack was cult related, multiple reports have it that the gruesome murder has been linked to a romantic tussle for a lady between the deceased and another unidentified man. It was reported that the deceased was wooed out to the open by the lady.

Tinubu Wins As Oyegun Formally Withdraws From APC Chairmanship Race


Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, the national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC has announced his withdrawal from contesting for another tenure as the party's leader, PoliticsNGR has learned.

Oyegun, on Friday evening, told newsmen at his Abuja residence;

"Even though I had the desire to re-contest as National Chairman of the Party, I have decided that it is ultimately in the best interest of the Party for me to withdraw from the race".

It will be recalled that Oyegun's problems began after his fallout with the National leader of the party, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

JSS 2 Student Locked In A Police Cell After Being Abandoned By His Father.


A young boy identified as Okoro Chigozie, a JSS 2 student of Anglican Grammar School, Ondo was allegedly abandoned by his biological father at Faith Motors, when he came with him to Benin city, Edo state. According to reports, the confused minor was walking aimlessly to unknown destination before he was rescued by a good Samaritan and brought to Okhuare Police Divisional Headquarters.
