A man was arrested after purchasing a stolen Lexus SUV for N500,000 in Abuja. It was gathered that the man after repainting the vehicle and changing the registration, had taken his friends out to flex to celebrate his “new vehicle” not knowing the car had been tracked to their drinking spot.

500 PDP members defect to APC in Kuje

About 500 members of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), have defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kuje Area Council.

 Among those that decamped were former PDP stalwarts, Sarkin Samari of Kayarda, Alhaji Abdulhameed Idris Sabo, Hajiya  Ramatu Idris, Yahaya Mohammed Gambo and other stakeholders in the party in the area.

The Federal Government has given reasons why it believes the former National Security Adviser, NSA, Col Sambo Dasuki (retd), should not be granted bail.

 

The Attorney General of the Federation, Mr Abubakar Malami, SAN, said Mr Dasuki’s personal right can be violated for the larger public good.

 

Malami in a new interview with the Voice of America, Hausa, published on July 13 just obtained by PREMIUM TIMES, said; “What I want you to know is that issues concerning law and order under Muhammadu Buhari are sacrosanct and obeying court order is compulsory.
