Nigeria Wins FIFA U-17 World Cup! Sets New Record

The final kicked off with tensions on both sides. After 5mins of play Nigeria scored it's first goal. The most effective players in the fisrt half were, Yahaya, Alampasu, Dias and Rodriguez. The Mexicans started better in the 2nd half but they soon found themselves behind after an outside shot from Musa Muhammad was pushed back for a rebound kick which was well delivered by Kelechi Iheanacho to make it second goal for Nigeria.

They also pressed forward to get a goal but the Eaglets were stronger in defence and they converted their play to possessive football. About the end of the game, a foul at the edge of the box was spotted by the Referee. Musa Muhammad filled with confidence converted the ball directly into the box to get a 3rd goal for Nigeria.

It's 4 titles for Nigeria on the Asian soil. Its another proud record. Alampasu desrves the Man of the match award. Nigeria has also set the record for higest goals scored by a team in the U-17 World Cup, scoring an all time high 26 goals. All hail the Eaglets.  Manu Garba won this trophy as a player and as a coach. Time to be a Nigerian, PROUD ONE
