About 200 bandits stormed Gwaram Town in Jigawa early hours of this morning around
1:00am in motorcycles and cars. They attacked a police station, a bank, and a
Sharia Court, and killed eight people. Among the eight people who were killed
were four mobile policemen, three conventional policemen and one civilian
guard, the Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG, zone 1, Tambari Muhammed
confirmed. He said the bandits used explosives to attack the bank,
police station and the court.
Over 100 people were also killed in Zamfara on
Saturday in a similar attack by men on motorcycles.
