Agbaje and Ambode |
The appellate court struck out the petition by
Agbaje, who emerged second the said election, for incompetence. Agbaje
was also ordered to pay a sum of N50,000 each to the four respondents in
the suit, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, APC, Independent National
Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Lagos State Resident Electoral
Commissioner.
Meanwhile, the Lagos PDP has described the judgement of the appellate court as a controversial legal victory and not a moral victory for the APC and governor Ambode, adding that the option of heading to the Supreme court should not be ruled out.
