“Soon after getting credible information about the heinous act, the police control room quickly alerted operations of the command and they immediately searched the entire state.
‘’As a result, the assailants, who tried to escape the eagle-eyed operatives, were subsequently apprehended along West End-Old Nekede Road, Owerri, ”the CP said.
According
to Mr. Lakanu, the late Ndukwe was found in a pool of his own blood in a
toilet in his residence at 18 Enuwa Street, Egbu, in the Owerri North
Local Government Area.
He
gave the names of the all-male suspects who later confessed to the
crime as David Kwaguru, 30, from Sirwo in Langtang North Local
Government Area of Plateau State; Friday Ayuba, 28, a native of Keyelda
in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State and Francis Amos,
