Nigerian Girls Saved From Prostitution In Ghana, Narrate Their Ordeal (Photo)

Human trafficking on the rise – Two girls saved from prostitution in Ghana narrate their ordeal

Two young girls who were approached by a suspected unidentified female trafficker at Ekpoma in Edo state in Nigeria to seek greener pastures as workers in a restaurant in Ivory Coast ended up in Togo to work as prostitutes. The girls were to pay the woman who never told them her real names but was called “Madam Excellent" the sum of 800,000 cefas while they prostitute. Although, these girls, Franca Akhimen, 25 and Ehinon Onofua, 23 were lucky enough to summon courage and escaped from what would have been the beginning of life on the wild and dangerous side which they might never have been able to come out of, if luck had not been on their side. In an interview with Encomium Weekly, Franca and Ehinon, who disclosed they have learnt their lessons in a hard way, gave a graphic account of how they were deceived and almost ended up as prostitutes…

Can you tell us what happened and how you ended up in Togo to prostitute?

Franca: It was in Epkoma in Edo state where I met one lady… I was actually going to church when I met her and she approached me and said she was looking for girls that can work in her restaurant in Ivory Coast. So, when I got home I told Ehinon and we arranged to meet her and she told us what the plan was and when we will be leaving Nigeria for Ivory Coast. So, on February 2, we left Edo for Lagos, had a stop at Mile 2, and she told us that was where the car that will take us to Ivory Coast will pick us. So, at exactly 9.30pm, the car came for us and we all boarded that evening. When we got to Togo, I noticed that we were not going to proceed with our journey,

Policewoman Spotted Preaching In A Bus In Lagos Today: (pic)

Rev. King, The Law And King’s Supporters By Reuben Abati

In the case of the State and Rev. Chukwuemeka Kingsley Ezeugo, the Supreme Court a few days ago, upheld the rulings of the lower courts and ruled that the bearded, self-styled “little god”, “Jesus Christ of our time”, and founder of the Lagos-based Christian Praying Assembly (CPA), deserves to be hanged, for enacting a form of horror movie which resulted in the death in 2006 of Ms Ann Uzoh.

The simple import of that ruling is that no man is a king before the law, and that the law is no respecter of persons including those who describe themselves as anointed men of God, and who on that account use religion to commit atrocities.

But the most bizarre development since that ruling last Friday has been the intervention of a group called the Ndigbo Cultural Society of Nigeria (NCSN).  The group says Nigeria has nothing to gain by shedding Rev. King’s blood and that President Muhammadu Buhari should grant the convicted murderer state pardon because “he is still a spiritual leader to many Nigerians.” The Ndigbo Society is indirectly saying that Rev King’s life should be spared because he is Igbo, and a religious leader. This is nothing but arrant nonsense. It makes us wonder what happens to people’s heads once they are in the grips of the disease of ethnicism. Has anyone told the Ndigbo Cultural Society that Rev. King’s victim, Ann Uzoh, was also Igbo? Or is Emeka Ezeugo’s Igbo life more important than that of Ann Uzoh? Or the lives of the others: Jessica Nwene, Kosiso Ezenwankwo, Chiejina Olisa, Chizoba Onuora, Vivian and Uche?

Super Eagles interim coach Samson Siasia to recall Enyeama and Emenike to Super Eagles

Samson Siasia, who is one of the coaches appointed by NFF as a caretaker coach for Egypt clash has revealed plans to recall Vincent Enyeama and Emmanuel Emenike to the national team. The two football stars announced their retirement from Super Eagles after reported clash with former coach, Sunday Oliseh. Speaking to the press on Friday, Siasia said;

“It is an emergency assignment. If they (the NFF) say we should do the rescue job, we have to do it for the sake of Nigeria. We will go for the best legs. I mean players with commitment, to ensure that we qualify ahead of Egypt. We will look at the players we believe can help the team, including Vincent Enyeama and Emmanuel Emenike who retired from the team last year. The coaching crew will sit down and make up the list, and the Egyptians must fall as far as we are now in charge.”

I no Longer Eat Meat After Holding My Intestines...Charles Okocha

news
Nollywood actor, Charles Okocha, will not forget the bullet wound which almost took his life some months back as he says the memory will continue to remain each time he imagines how he was able to survive it.

The actor, who still has a lot of story to tell recently, explained that he was stubborn to have attended the wedding despite his mother’s warning after she had a revelation of a tragedy that will occur to him. Charles stated that his mother stood by him when others deserted him because she is a mother and with her prayer life, God reveals things to her about him sometimes.

“My mother, who is a very prayerful Christian, gave me a lot of support. Even before the incident happened, she saw it through a vision that was delivered to her in church. She warned me not to go for that particular occasion but I ignored her. There was a time I had an accident while returning from the club, my mother had also seen the event ahead and warned me but I also refused,” he told Punch.
The actor also pointed out that base on the fact that he saw his intestines come out on that tragic day, he no longer eat meat.

"It was only God that kept me alive. As it is now, I have become allergic to meat. Because of all that happened to me, I held my intestines with my hands, the sight still haunts me," he added.

Supreme Court decides on Reverend King's fate today

The fate of Senior Pastor of the Christian Praying Assembly, Lagos, Rev. Chukwuemeka Ezeugo aka Reverend King, will be known today February 26th, as the Supreme Court would decide whether he should be hanged for murder or spend a few more years in jail.

Reverend King was charged to court by the Lagos state government on September 26th 2006 on a six-count charge of attempted murder and murder of one of his members, Ann Uzoh on August 2nd 2006.

Justice Joseph Oyewole of the Lagos State High Court, Ikeja had on January 11th 2007 sentenced him to death by hanging for the murder of Ann Uzoh. The controversial pastor approached the Lagos state Court of Appeal but his appeal was thrown out and the High courts verdict upheld.

Dissatisfied with the Court of Appeals verdict, Reverend King approached the Supreme court, asking for the verdict to be upturned. The Apex court is expected to give its ruling this morning.

Stella Oduah Reacts To Her Victory In Supreme Court Today - Politics

Senator representing Anambra North, Stella Oduah, has expressed gratitude to God, Nigerians and her supporters all over the country following her victory in the Supreme Court today.

According to a statement signed by her Press Secretary, Cynthia Ferdinand, Oduah disclosed this after listening to the Apex Court's rulinng that restated that the elections that brought her and other Anambra State federal lawmakers from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, into the National Assembly remains valid, as the issue was not even part of the judgement INEC was seeking clarification about.

She described her victory as a victory for democracy and the Nigerians at large while congratulating her colleagues.

“I’m delighted that the Supreme Court has clearly stated that the issue of primaries was not included in the appeal that came before.

“Supreme Court had ruled severally that only National Executive of a party can submit list to INEC.

“I want to thank Nigerians and everyone who has expressed support for me. I must say that this is a victory for democracy and Nigerians at large. The Judiciary without fear of favour or prejudice has allowed justice to be served.

“In the spirit of service I will continue to serve the good people of Anambra North and the nation at large by making deliberations that will move our nation forward,” Oduah said.

The Supreme Court, earlier today dismissed the case filed by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, seeking clarification on whether to withdraw the certificate of return issued to Senators Oduah, Andy Uba and other federal lawmakers of the PDP representing Anambra State.

According to the apex court ruling read by Hon. Justice J.N Okoro, he said, “The court shall not review any judgement given by it, as stated in the court rules.

“The judgement of this Court is final as reflected in the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended. On the whole I hold the view that this court has no jurisdiction to entertain this motion from INEC, this matter is hereby stuck out.

The court maintained that issues of primaries were not the case presented before it but issues regarding the leadership of the Anambra State PDP chapter.

Politics - How Osinbajo Ruled Nigeria In The Absence Of Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari embarked on a six-day vacation On Friday, February 5, and ‘handed over’ to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo as acting president of the nation.

Before going on the vacation, President Buhari had dispatched a formal notice to Senate President Abubakar Bukola Saraki and Speaker of the House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara, in compliance with Section 145 (1) of the Constitution.

It was the first time in the history of Nigeria, that a president voluntarily transmitted power to his deputy.

As at the time Buhari’s short break became public knowledge, the acting president was in Lagos for the ‘Holy Ghost Night’ programme of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), and rather than cut short his trip, Osinbajo, the following day, headed for Jerusalem Mission House International in Makurdi, Benue state, for a wedding ceremony.

Najatu Muhammad Rejects Buhari’s Appointment, Becomes First Person To Do So

Najatu Muhammad have become the first Nigerian to reject appointment from president Buhari.

In a newspaper advert, she wrote:

The True Story Behind St Valentine- Saint Of Love

The exact birth of this extraordinary saint is historically unknown but we known from available records was that he was a Catholic priest during the reign of the Roman Emperor Claudius II during the 3rd century.
The Roman Emperor Claudius II was involved in many bloody and unpopular war campaigns to get more men to join his army. He believed at the time that the reason why he was finding it difficult to get men to join the military was that the Roman men were very dedicated to their wives and family. As a result, Claudius forbid the rites of marriages and engagements in Rome.

St Valentine was a priest in Rome during his reign. He and St Marius ignored the official order and performed secret marriages of some loving couples for this deed. He was arrested and dragged before the Prefect of Rome who condemned him to a Three part execution of beating, stoning and to be beaten to death with his head cut off.

‘You must marry your wife’s corpse’

'You must marry your wife's corpse'

At first it was congratulations and celebration galore as Madam Margaret Emmanuel was delivered of a set of beautiful twin girls.  But few hours after, the joyful mood turned sour and mourning took over, as news filtered in that mother of the twins had passed on. She gave up the ghost on her way to the hospital, living the twins behind without the very vital motherly care. It also marked the beginning of the trauma of her husband and father of the twins, Mr. Adejo Emmanuel. Aside being shattered by the news, he was suddenly faced with a somewhat insurmountable challenge of weaning two infants alone.

But the trauma did not end there, only Emmanuel didn’t know at this point in time.
While lamenting his predicament, Emmanuel said, “My life is like a balloon that was punctured with a pin, which immediately deflated it of all the joy. When a woman is pregnant the prayer is to hear the babies’ cries and that of the mother’s joy; but now the mother is gone, leaving the babies,” Emmanuel said, sobbing.

WOMAN KILLS PREGNANT WOMAN

Cyriacus Izuekwe

The police have arrested a hair dresser, Mrs Tawa Biodun, in connection with the death of a pregnant woman, Mrs Esther Oluwadiya.

Oluwadiya died during a squabble with Tawa who is her neighbour where both of them reside in Lagos State, western Nigeria.

The late Oluwadiya was heavily pregnant with twins before the incident happened.
The incident happened on Monday at their house located at 15, Adeyinka street, Arida bus stop, Ikotun, Lagos where they reside.

According to their neighbours, Biodun reportedly engaged Esther Oluwadiya in a fight and in the process she developed complications.

She was rushed to Igando General Hospital where she was referred to LUTH where she eventually died.

According to residents, the 16-year-old daughter of Biodun and the 13-year-old son of the late Oluwadiya were fighting and instead of Biodun separating them, she allegedly encouraged her daughter to go and dress up properly to fight Oluwadiya’s son who is younger than her.

This attracted the attention of Oluwadiya who allegedly rebuked Biodun for encouraging the children to fight.

P.M.NEWS gathered that this resulted in both women exchanging harsh words that led to a squabble.

During the squabble, Oluwadiya developed complications as a result of the pregnancy and became unconscious. She was rushed to hospitals where she eventually died.

The matter was reported to the police and Biodun was arrested and detained at the Ikotun Police station.

The police transferred the matter to SCID at Panti, Yaba where Biodun is currently detained for further investigation.

When our reporter visited Ikotun police division on Wednesday where Biodun was initially detained, the DPO was not around to comment on the matter.

Sources at the station confirmed the arrest and directed our reporter to SCID at Panti where the matter was transferred.

Also when our reporter visited the house where the incident happened, Biodun’s relatives, residents and sympathizers were there expressing shock over what happened.

Neighbours told our correspondent that the deceased’s husband identified as Joseph had gone to SCID in connection with the incident.

The neighbours also said they were short of words and described the late Oluwadiya as an easy going woman.

P.M.NEWS gathered that her corpse has been deposited at the mortuary for autopsy report.

'our Leader Shot Pregnant Woman In The Private Part' - Gang Member Confess (pic)

A member of a deadly eight-man armed robbery gang, Johnson Aikko , aka, Stigma, arrested by detectives attached to the Special Intelligence Response Team (SIRT), set up by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Solomon Arase , has narrated how their gang leader known as Denis Avaughwa , aka Ava, shot a pregnant woman in her private part during one of their raids in a house in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

Akiko added that apart from shooting the heavily pregnant woman, Ava also shot the woman's husband on his two legs and that the other gang members fought with their leader and questioned why he had to shoot the woman even after they had robbed the family of their valuables.

Aikko also told the operatives that sometime in 2015, his gang, while escaping after a robbery operation, stumbled on a six Fulani herdsmen sleeping and opened fire on them, killing them all.

According to the members of the gang, were supplied weapons by a prison official and a policeman, after their arrest led to the discovery of three AK47 rifles and four revolvers.

Akiko recollected how the woman was killed in the most horrific way by Ava in November, 2015, when the gang raided the Supper Cell Estate, a highbrow area in Apo, in the FCT.

Fraudsters Swap Lady's Airtel Sim And Steal Her N400,000

My name is Adetoke Oluwo. I feel it is necessary I share my story so as to shed light to the way fraudsters dupe unsuspecting Nigerians and also to expose the shady AIRTEL STAFF who aided them.

My purse with other documents and ID cards were stolen last year April and as usual, I got an affidavit for it.
This year January, I got a call from Airtel Ibadan concerning a sim swap I wanted to do in Ibadan (I work and live in Lagos). I immediately informed them that it's fraud when
they told me the person brought one of the id cards that was stolen.

I immediately went to AIRTEL IKEJA CITY MALL to report and told them to flag and fortify security on my sim as my Airtel line is connected to all my Bank accounts. I even asked how it was possible for anybody to walk in and almost swapped my sim without any form of security . The staff said they will do something about it.

Kate Henshaw Reveals The Man Behind Her Millions (photos)

news

The Nigerian movie industry has indeed lost great stars who really made the industry what it is especially when it comes to action movies and one of such actor is late J.T Tom West, who was known for movies like Flashback, State of Emergency, Terror and others.

It’s about 10 years now since the actor passed away and many have forgotten about him but one actor who still appreciates the role he played in her life is actress cum politician, Kate Henshaw.
The actress while recalling her encounter with the late actor explained that she wouldn’t be appreciated today if the actor had not given her an opportunity to display her talent after she had attended an audition he called for back in the days.

In her words, “J.T. Tom West....23 years ago, I was nothing but a green horn as they called me back then. I was inquisitive about the audition you invited me to, had no idea of what to expect. After many weeks, I received a note (there were no mobile phones then) that I should come back and read again for a role. I was still unsure of what this was all about. Long story short, Director Ifeanyi Anyafulu chose me to play the Lead role of OMONO in HINTS MAGAZINE's first ever movie, WHEN THE SUN SETS, the rest they say is history.

“I would not be here, who I am, if not for you. God used you. I will never forget you. Carefree, funny, mischievious. Remember those days in Surulere, Golden Mother restaurant? Segun Arinze remember Jokes Apart. Hmm. Time indeed has flown by. Rest in Peace JT. Sleep well in God's bosom. I celebrate you. Today and Always.”

26-yr-old Arrested Over Attempt To Blackmail Abiola’s Wife (photo)

A 26-year-old man, Caleb Nzube, who attempted to blackmail the wife of late Chief MKO Abiola of $5,000, was last week arrested in Anambra State.

Nzube allegedly hacked the Twitter handle of Mrs Tinu Abiola, downloaded her picture and designed a web page showing the woman carrying a human skull.

He then threatened to expose the web page to the world if the woman does not pay $5,000.

Traumatised Mrs Abiola, it was learned, petitioned the Inspector General, Solomon Arase, who directed a combined team of the Inspector General Monitoring Team and the Intelligence Response Team to track down the suspect.

He was arrested when the operatives stormed his hideout in Obosi.

It was gathered that Mrs Abiola was not the suspect’s only victim, as a serving Senator and two others were also being harassed by him on the social media.

Speaking with Vanguard after his arrest, Caleb Elom Nzube agreed that he is an internet fraudster as he specialised in online dating before venturing into blackmailing thinking it was more lucrative.

Disclosing he spent hours on the social media searching for prominent Nigerians, Nzube said his targets are mainly rich politicians, popular businessmen and socialite.

He said he goes after these set of people because he thinks they are usually sensitive to what is said about them in the public.

On how he got into trouble he said,
“I started following Mrs Timu Alade Abiola on Twitter and I got her pictures. I felt she was a good catch and I decided to blackmail her. I used Photoshop to make it look like she was carrying a human skull. I designed a web page with a little gossip story on it that she was caught for ritual.

I sent her the link and when she saw it I demanded she pays me $5000 or I will show it to the whole world. One of her friends came in and begged that I shouldn’t do it and that they were ready to pay me $ 2000. I rejected the money, insisting that I must collect the amount I demanded.

Later they discovered I was Igbo and they gave my number to an Igbo girl who started talking to me and I accepted their offer, what got me angry was that while we were still talking, they sent a fishing link that destroyed my website which I have been maintaining for more than four years. That website had paid me little money I have used in sustaining myself.

I told the Igbo girl about it and that if I don’t get the money before the end of the week I will show the web page to the whole world. She asked for my account, I gave it to her but before I knew what was happening, the police came and arrested me.

I don’t understand why she has to bring in the police; I told the girl that what I needed was for her to tell her madam to just pay me for my website they destroyed. In fact I regret all this, if I had known it will be this messy I would have not ventured into this.

What I do is only dating. I just wanted to try my luck on this one.” he lamented.”
