The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Lagos Zonal office, on Thursday, May 10, 2018, arraigned one Chinonso Samuel Ofoegbu before Justice Babs Kuewumi sitting at the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos on a one-count charge bordering on failure to declare the sums of $52,201,000(Fifty-two Thousand US Dollars) and £320(Three Hundred and Twenty Pounds) found on him by officers of the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA.

I Have Stolen Just 1,200 Phones From Lagos Commuters - Suspect


A phone thief arrested by the operatives of the Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command, has confessed that he has stolen over 1200 from Lagos commuters since he joined pickpocketing gang.

The suspect, Femi Solomon, from Ogun State, was arrested last Thursday in Iyana Oworo, after stealing a Samsung phone from a commuter in a bus stampede at the bus stop.

Solomon, an auto technician noted that he joined pickpocketing gang in Obalende, where he was ushering people to buy used cloth popularly called "Okrika".

3 Nigerians Arrested In USA With Fake Documents, $53k Cash In A Stolen Maserati.


Three Nigerian men arrested in Chicago in what was described as a stolen car packed with counterfeit passports, drivers’ licenses, and cash, are back on the street, after they faced relatively minor charges. 

Mayowa Balogun, Danteni Tijani and Dolapo Badmus, were picked up on January 23, in a Maserati SUV which came back stolen out of Ohio. Police alleged all were carrying counterfeit passports and driver’s licenses, mostly from Great Britain.

SARS Operatives Arrest Dino Melaye


ABUJA- CHAIRMAN, Senate Committee on the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Senator Dino Melaye, APC, Kogi West has been arrested by operatives of the Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS.


Vanguard gathered that Senator Melaye was this morning, taken to the SARS detention facility located just opposite the old Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN junction along the Area 1 expressway.

The SARS detention facility is reputed for imprisoning hardened criminals arrested for theft, murder, cultism and other criminal acts.

Senator Omo-Agege Reacts To Snatching Mace Of National Assembly


Contrary to reports that Senator Ovie Omo-Agege was arrested after allegedly leading thugs into the Senate chambers to snatch the mace, the Police said the lawmaker was merely escorted out of the National Assembly complex.

The senator's media office has released a press statement as relating to the invasion of the national assembly and the stealing of the mace.

Hoodlums Set Olusosun Dumpsite On Fire After Police Stormed Hideout For Arrest - Crime


Lagos State Police have arrested over 80 miscreants, recovered a toy gun, 6 butchers’ knives, 21 kitchen knives, 9 hammers, substances suspected to be cannabis and other dangerous weapons from Olusosun Dumpsite squatters.

The police team, comprising of officers drawn from Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Lagos State Taskforce, Counter Terrorism Unit, Alausa Police Station and other police formations, stormed the dumpsite early today to eject the squatters who had already built shades, where they dwell.

Woman Gives Birth To 'Strange' Baby In Aba, Abia State (Graphic Photos)


There was panic after a woman gave birth to a strange baby at a hospital in Aba, Abia state. The incident which happened today reportedly shocked the hospital officials and those around following the ''strange'' birth. According to Cynthia Chioma, the woman survived the delivery and is said to be alive. The baby died after birth.

While some think this has to do with something spiritual, others have argued online that this is a medical condition.

Man allegedly hacks his wife to death in Enugu
The Police in Enugu state have commenced a full scale investigation into an alleged incident in which a husband hacked his wife to death in Enugu city.
 
In a statement released by the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Ebere Amaraizu, the police command says the incident occurred yesterday March 8th. 
 
Amaraizu, who did not disclose the location of the incident, said that the deceased, Mrs Nkechi Nnamani, was a mother of four children.

Chinese Girl Rides Bicycle From Morocco To Lagos, Recounts Ordeals


A Chinese female cyclist, Huang Shuang , who rode from Morocco to Lagos , Nigeria , within five months , says she is convinced that anybody can achieve anything he or she determines to do .

Huang , also known as CICI , told the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos on Monday that she was inspired to embark on “ cycling around the world ’’ after riding around her country .

The cyclist said that her experience in China motivated her to begin global cycling in America where she covered about 5 , 500 km in two months .
