13 men who are suspected to be
drug peddlers in Lekki area of Lagos have been arrested by men of Lagos State
Taskforce on Environment al and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit. They were
arrested after residents of the area had written several complaints to the
government on activities of the suspects in the area.
After investigating, the task
force officers stormed their hideout on Wole Olateru Street, Lekki Phase 1 on
Tuesday and arrested 13 of them even though some escaped.
The Task Force Chairman, Bayo
Sulaiman however said, they are ready to give all it takes to eradicate drug
peddling in the State, stating that, it is going to be a big battle between is
men and drug dealers.
He also stated that, the arrested
men will soon be charge to court.
If you want to do drugs, don’t stay in Lagos, he said.
