Governor Sule Lamido Reveals APC Chieftains Who Are Buhari's Greatest Enemies

Sule Lamido,the Jigawa State governor, has declared that the chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC), are its Presidential candidate’s greatest enemies in the country.

He made the declaration at his Abuja Home at the weekend, in an encounter with Daily Sun, while reacting to the allegation by the APC’s presidential campaign organisation’s spokesman, Mallam Garba Shehu, that Lamido, had after an alleged meeting with President Jonathan and Vice President Namadi Sambo, concluded plans to grant a radio interview, where he (Lamido) was expected to run down the party’s Presidential candidate, General Muham¬madu Buhari (retd).

When asked to react to the allegation, Lamido said that, what the APC said in the allegation were the things they had all along been peddling against Buhari, with the sole aim of destroying him. “They are now only using my name to make public their own feelings about Buhari, because in the North today, all those angling to be President, especially within the APC, see Buhari as their greatest obstacle, as such they need to destroy him for them to make any headway. Insisting that he needs not consult with anyone, including President Jonathan, before he could speak his mind on any national issue in the country, Lamido, further said: “ In the North today, especially in the APC, they have about three camps: Atiku, Kwankwaso and Buhari. Now, Kwankwaso and Atiku are already thinking that should Buhari win this election, he would have blocked their chances of giving the Presidency a shot in 2019, as such they are not happy over the development. So, they are looking for means and ways of running him down. And that is exactly what they are now doing. “You know, because of the nature of the party and the fallout of their primaries, which was a bitter contest between Buhari and Atiku especially, they see Buhari as a threat to their future ambitions.”
So, they set out to demonise Buhari. “Don’t forget that all along they have been demonising Buhari among their followers, so, they have just revealed what is in their minds, using me as a person. “Everything they have said, they have been saying it secretly against Buhari.
“They have only decided to use me as a conduit pipe, to make it public. They believe that they must destroy Buhari to realise their ambitions. I have every cause to fight Bu¬hari.”
