Not again!! And this time it happened to our very own Admin's cousin.
From our Admin's description of the very unfortunate incidence that
occurred, his cousin Chibyke Edeh, He was tortured to death by police men.
Until his arrest and murder, he was working with Protea hotel in Benin.
He was accused of stealing N45,000 from a guest in one of the rooms he
attended to. He was taken to the police station and detained without
bail.
There the policemen tortured him to confess he stole
the money but he stuck to his words that he was not guilty of the
accusation labeled against him. After the police inflicted the most
gruesome pain on him and still did not get what I suppose they were
looking to get.
They asked his parents provide N27,000 for his bail. Sadly, by the time
they got back with the money, they were told he was dead.
I thought they say "the police is your friend"? How can the so called
police whom we are supposed to run to for protection inflict such
agonizing pain to someone?! What a great and sad lost!
