A 53-year-old husband, Raphael Solomon, yesterday shot dead a man
believed to be his wife’s lover while they were making love in the Aduku
Community of Sagbama Local Council of Bayelsa State.
According to sources, Raphael caught the deceased lover-boy pants down in unholy coupling with his wife at a cassava processing mini plant in the area.
It was gathered that Raphael, who is into large cassava farming, is an indigene of Odi Community in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Council of the State.
A close family source said the deceased lover boy, identified as 28-year-old Preye Bernard, was the owner of the cassava processing plant used by the couple to process their produce after cultivation in Odi community.
It was gathered that the angry husband, who had been informed of the alleged illicit romance between his wife, Joy Godwin, and the deceased Preye, trailed the wife to the plant and caught them naked.
An eyewitness account has it that “the angry husband was known to be a gentleman in Odi and one that has made a name for himself in the business of cassava farming and garri processing. He is involved in the business with his wife. We only heard that he caught the wife sleeping with another man and shot him dead. He is a man.”
